An Intimate, Less Formal Venue
The Garden Room is an intimate venue housed in a small modern
building close to the Parade Rings. On Race Days it is used as an
exclusive Lounge Bar for owners and trainers. Access is 100m along
Station Road from the main course entrance. Follow signs for the Caravan
Site. There is ample off-road parking within a few yards of the venue.
The entrance is from a patio area, which can be used at break times etc.
(weather permitting). Flexible Room Arrangement
With its almost square shape, The Garden Room offers flexible
furniture arrangement and has plenty of space for delegates to move
around in comfort. When operating slightly below capacity it is
particularly suited to rapid change of format (e.g to break from lecture
seating to small group discussion around tables. Self-contained
Facilities
This self-contained venue includes catering and toilet facilities and
so there is a minimum of time wastage on the 'domestic' aspects of your
meeting. |

For your Business Breakfast or Working Lunch
The Garden Room is ideal for breakfast/business meetings, working
lunches, or smaller receptions/parties, seating between 40 and 50
guests, offering excellent facilities in a relaxing environment.
It is assumed that function organisers will provide their
own electrical equipment. Thirsk Racecourse may be able to loan
certain items by arrangement if sufficient notice is given. The
Garden Room currently has internet access as part of a
wireless network, and this is scheduled for upgrade in June 2011, to
allow both cable and wireless connections at greater speed.
Catering
In the Garden Room we can offer catering facilities, from coffee and
