From the south (A1), take the A168 at
Dishforth. After 6 miles take the B1448 to Thirsk. At the
mini-roundabout, turn left past Tesco and the Thirsk Racecourse is on
the right, 200m past the Tesco/Lidl roundabout.

From the north (A1) follow signs for Thirsk.
Enter Thirsk from the west along the A61. The Racecourse entrance is on the left
about half a mile past Thirsk Railway Station.

From Teesside, turn off the A19 for Thirsk,
then go through the town centre, leaving on the A61 for Ripon. At the mini roundabout beyond the
town cente, turn right past Tesco and the Racecourse is on your right,
200m past the Tesco/Lidl roundabout.

From York (A19) go straight on at the first
roundabout approaching Thirsk, then left at the second roundabout,
through the town centre, as 3 (above).

From Scarborough (A170), keep straight on at the roundabout and
follow signs Ripon (A61) through the town centre as 3 (above).
There is ample off-road parking on tarmac, through
the main gate and straight ahead beneath the arch in the Main
Grandstand. For The Garden Room, use the Caravan Site entrance, 100m
further towards Tesco, and park on the left after about 50m. |
Thirsk Station is half a mile from the course, along
the A61 towards Ripon.
Grand Central operates 4 direct services per
day to/from London, calling only at York. The reverse service continues
to Sunderland.
Transpennine operates a regular direct service between Manchester, Leeds, York,
Thirsk Northallerton and Middlesbrough.
Additional services are available by changing at York (from the South) or Darlington (from the North). |
