Regular Events
Caravan Site & Rally Field
Part of the Racecourse site is used as a 63 pitch caravan site,
administered by the Caravan Club. There are good toilet facilities
(including disabled access) and washing and drying equipment.
Vehicular access is signposted from Station Road. The Caravan Site
opens Friday 26th March 2010 for the summer. For bookings ring 01845 525266.

NOT AVAILABLE ON RACEDAYS.
There is a separate RALLY FIELD beside the course, 400 yards
along Newsham Road, which branches from Station Road at the bend
near Tesco. This has 100+ pitches currently available at £4 + VAT per night.
Facilities are limited, including cold water and a chemical toilet
dispersal point.

SalesA well-established car boot sale takes place at the racecourse every
Sunday morning starting on Sunday 4th April 2010 and continuing
weekly (weather permitting) into October. This has many regular and occasional
stallholders and attracts large numbers of buyers.
There is ample space for stallholders (charge per vehicle) and
free parking for buyers (nominal entry fee per person).

Outdoor EventIn recent years, Thirsk Racecourse has been able to offer site
facilities to large outdoor events such as fairs, circuses and
sports events, where large numbers of people are involved. The
racecourse site is highly adaptable for outdoor usage, with car
parking, terraced stands under cover and grassed or tarmac areas.We are
happy to discuss your specific plans for events of this type and
quote accordingly. Event organisers should
be aware that such events might need planning permission, be subject
to noise restrictions or require police co-operation in order to
proceed. Any such measures are the responsibility of the organisers,
not Thirsk Racecourse Ltd.
